Well, I've finished two mixed media pieces the last two weeks.
Lobster Blissque- This project I did for my daughter Asher. She has a stuffed animal we got in Maine named Libby the Lobster. We lost her on the way back on our flight, but were able to track down another from a store up there. She just loves Libby and now her little sister Pincher. I wanted to do this piece to remember those fun, light, silly, childlike beings that are deep inside each one of us. Two Lovers Entwined Pass Me By- This title actually comes from a lyric from The Smiths: "Two lovers entwined pass me by and heaven knows I'm miserable now." I know it's somber, but I do envy those young couples who have the whole world in front of them. They are passionate, simple, and the clasping of their hands is so pure and innocent; fresh; alive; tingly! Oh how I remember those days...
